MILWAUKEE (AP) - Milwaukee police are investigating a nightclub shooting that left a security guard injured.

According to a news release, the owner of a north side nightclub used pepper spray to break up a fight at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the people then excited but someone pulled out a gun and shot at the front door guard.

Police say the 28-year-old man was hit but his wound is not life threatening. He was taken to a local hospital.

Police say the guard shot back but police didn’t think the suspect was hit. There have been no reports of anyone needing treatment for gunshot wounds at any local hospitals.
