SAINT ONGE, S.D. (AP) - A natural gas company says it expects a 17-mile stretch of pipeline in the Black Hills to be completed by mid-November.

WBI Energy is constructing the line in the northern Black Hills that will runs adjacent to the existing system. It expects to use the line as a backup.

KOTA-TV in Rapid City reports (https://bit.ly/1qdKxa2 ) the company had to negotiate land easements with affected landowners before it began construction last month.

WBI is a subsidiary of Montana Dakota Utility based in Bismarck, North Dakota.
