CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Scheduling conflicts have been resolved and it appears the major party candidates for South Carolina lieutenant governor will finally share the same stage.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reports (https://bit.ly/1svzFKz ) that Republican Henry McMaster of Columbia and Democratic state Rep. Bakari Sellers of Denmark will debate on South Carolina Educational Television on Oct. 27.

The two were to have appeared in a debate this Thursday but the event was rescheduled.

The newspaper reports the two candidates have yet to appear together this campaign season. Sellers has challenged McMaster to appear in more than one debate.
