TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson group home is accused of failing to ensure the safety of a 10-year-old girl who was molested by an older boy.

The Arizona Daily Star reports (https://bit.ly/1ELKmwt) that in a lawsuit filed last week, a woman says Gap Ministries didn’t supervise the 13-year-old boy who molested her daughter.

The mother, who is not named because her daughter is a sexual abuse victim, says the facility failed to report the incident.

She says that led to continued abuse and the boy wasn’t removed until she called police.

Gap Ministries founder Greg Ayers declined to comment because of the sensitivity of the issue.

The mother says her daughter and 8-year-old son were placed in the home in August 2013, a year after she lost custody.
