BURLINGTON, Vermont (AP) - Vermont’s health department is seeking comments on a host of changes to state health regulations.

One of the rule changes would update the list of diseases that must be reported to the health department by medical care providers. The updated list includes dengue fever, West Nile virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis and others.

Another rule change updates the state’s food safety requirements for licensed food manufacturers. Another would repeal the Regulation of Bakeries in Vermont Rule. Bakeries would instead be regulated under the Good Manufacturing Practices for Food Rule.

Public hearings for the three rule changes are scheduled for Oct. 20 in Burlington. Written comments are due by Oct. 27 and can be submitted via e-mail.
