MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say a two-vehicle accident in northeast Ohio has sent 10 people to hospitals - including eight members of an Amish family that lives in the area.

The Amish family - a father, mother and six children ages 3 ½ months to 15 - was riding in Chevrolet Traverse SUV when it was hit by a van in an intersection in Middlefield Township, an area with a large Amish population east of Cleveland. It happened at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

The Northeast Ohio Media Group (https://bit.ly/1tnOiRp ) reports that none of the injuries were life-threatening, although the father, 33-year-old Joe Miller, may have suffered a head injury.

A woman driving the Traverse, and the driver of the van also were injured.
