HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Police say a central Pennsylvania man who failed to report for a county jail sentence for molesting two young children left a note and took no personal belongings after he was last seen at his home.

The Altoona Mirror (https://bit.ly/1sGSrOo) reports all those factors are causing police to fear that 51-year-old John Scott Knab, of Logan Township, may have harmed himself.

He was to begin serving up to two years at the Blair County Prison on Saturday. He pleaded guilty to indecent assault for molesting a girl from the time she was 5 to 7 years old, and another girl from the time she was 3 until she turned 6.

Police continued to search for Knab on Monday.

Two bloodhounds picked up Knab’s scent before losing his trail over the weekend.
