PACHECO, Calif. (AP) - A months-long investigation by local police and federal officials has led to the seizure of more than 70 guns, including .50-caliber sniper rifles, shotguns and pistols and the arrest of a man suspected of weapon trafficking.

The Contra Costa time reports (https://bit.ly/1u2JIlG ) Tuesday authorities found the gun cache inside a home in Pacheco as part of a probe by local police, the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Police say officials also seized several hundred thousand rounds of ammunition and more than 100 magazines, including 60 high-capacity magazines.

They say an Oakland man was arrested and booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, illegal transfer of firearms, and conspiracy. He is being held without bail.
