LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky will make good use of renovated Commonwealth Stadium with eight home games in 2015.

Highlighting the Wildcats’ schedule released Tuesday night are non-conference home matchups against in-state opponents Eastern Kentucky and Louisville along with Charlotte and Louisiana-Lafayette. Their Southeastern Conference home lineup features Eastern Division foes Florida, Missouri and Tennessee and an Oct. 15 game against West opponent Auburn in Kentucky’s first Thursday night home contest.

Kentucky’s home schedule is its largest since hosting eight games in 2007, and the Oct. 31 meeting against Tennessee will be the earliest between the schools since 1909. The Wildcats’ SEC opener against South Carolina ends a six-year run with Florida.

The Wildcats will play South Carolina, Georgia, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State on the road.


Kentucky’s 2015 schedule:

Sept. 5, UL-Lafayette; Sept. 12, at South Carolina; Sept. 19, Florida; Sept. 26, Missouri.

Oct. 3, Eastern Kentucky; Oct. 15 (Thursday), Auburn; Oct. 24, at Mississippi State; Oct. 31, Tennessee.

Nov. 7, at Georgia; Nov. 14, at Vanderbilt; Nov. 21, Charlotte; Nov. 28, Louisville.
