BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (AP) - An electrical malfunction has put the City of Bay St. Louis under a boil-water notice.

Public Works Director Buddy Zimmerman tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1rts0Gc ) that the wells were shut down Tuesday morning after a power-monitoring device went out on a water pump, causing residents to start losing water pressure around 1 p.m.

The State Board of Health requires the city to test the water any time pressure dips below a certain point.

Zimmerman says the water will be tested Wednesday and Thursday morning before hopefully getting the all-clear on Friday.
