BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - An 18-year-old Wyoming man has been sentenced to two years of probation and a suspended jail term in a crash that killed his two passengers.

The Grand Rapids Press reports (https://bit.ly/1xO0edl ) Jason Fuentes-Perdomo received the sentence on Monday in Mecosta County court. He faces 176 days in jail if he violates the terms of his probation.

Fuentes-Perdomo pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of a moving violation causing death. Authorities say he failed to stop at an intersection on Eight Mile Road in May and collided with a pickup truck. Twenty-two-year-old Michael Aguilar of Coopersville and his cousin, 18-year-old Roman Aguilar-Emmons of Wyoming, were killed.

The 31-year-old pickup truck driver from Cedar Springs was injured and Fuentes-Perdomo was seriously injured.
