PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Rhode Island College in Providence to talk about the economy.

His speech at 3 p.m. Thursday is open to the public. Tickets are required and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rhode Island College says tickets will be available between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Welcome Center in the college’s Student Union.

The president is scheduled to visit Connecticut on Wednesday. He’ll headline a rally for Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy who’s in a close race against Republican challenger Tom Foley.
