GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) - Police in the east Portland suburb of Gresham say they’re looking for the 36-year-old nephew of a woman found fatally stabbed in her home and also consider the man a suspect in a bank robbery in Canby, Oregon.

Lt. Claudio Grandjean said Tuesday that detectives are trying to locate Teddy Stivahtis Jr., who is considered a suspect in the Oct. 10 murder of 70-year-old Deanna Stivahtis.

The police spokesman says the man was seen driving the woman’s dark green Dodge Caravan van away from her home before her body was discovered.

Grandjean says Canby police suspect the man in Monday’s robbery of a Chase Bank branch at a Canby grocery store. The robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Canby is about 20 miles southwest of Gresham.
