TEA, S.D. (AP) - Voters in the Tea School District have said yes to an elementary school expansion but no to a new auditorium.

Two separate measures were on the ballot in Tuesday’s special election. Preliminary results should about 73 percent of voters favored spending about $5.2 million for a security entrance at the high school and an addition to an elementary school.

About 59 percent of voters favored the proposal for a $4.3 million auditorium, but it needed 60 percent approval to pass.

It was the fourth bond election in the growing school district since September 2013.
