DALLAS, Pa. (AP) - Two people have been killed in a fiery crash in northeastern Pennsylvania.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. on state Route 309 in Dallas Township, north of Wilkes-Barre.

Dallas Township Police Chief Robert G. Jolley tells the Times Leader of Wilkes-Barre (https://bit.ly/1w9tiN2 ) that an elderly couple’s car crossed the center line and into the path of a tractor-trailer. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to a hospital. Jolley says the driver was shaken up.

The names of the victims have not been released.
