TROY, Ala. (AP) - Investigators have discovered a moonshine still in south Alabama capable of producing more than $4,000 worth of illegal liquor a week.

Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas tells WAKA-TV (https://bit.ly/1wBXe2d ) that his office worked with state law enforcement to destroy the still found in a thickly wooded area off Gardner Bassett Road. He said the 20-barrel operation was capable of processing 140 gallons per week.

No arrests have been made, but the sheriff said investigators will try to determine where the sugar and other ingredients were purchased.
