GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a boy riding a dirt bike was hit and killed by a car near Eaton.

Nate Reid, a spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol, tells The Greeley Tribune (https://bit.ly/100c3C0 ) the boy was struck at the intersection of Weld county roads 72 and 39 about a mile southeast of Eaton just before 5 p.m. Tuesday. The boy’s name and age have not been released.

His death marks the fifth on Weld County roads in a week.
