BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) - Police in Broken Arrow are warning of a telephone scam in which callers claim to be with a government agency such as the Internal Revenue Service, immigration or local law enforcement.

Police say the caller says money is owed for back taxes or a warrant and that the victim will be arrested unless the money is paid with a prepaid card. The caller has also made threats of arrest, freezing assets and even deportation.

Police say government agencies do not call asking for money and will not ask for payment with a prepaid card nor will agencies make threats such as sending police to a home.
