CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Former congressional candidate Meshea Poore’s campaign committee has paid a $1,090 civil penalty for missing a reporting deadline for the May primary.

The Federal Election Commission cited the committee, Meshea Poore for West Virginia, on May 9 for failing to file a pre-primary financial report by the May 1 deadline. The report was for the period from April 1 through April 23.

The primary was May 13.

The committee paid the fine in August. The FEC made the case’s documents public until last week.

Nick Casey defeated Poore in the Democratic primary race for the 2nd Congressional District seat.
