FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Members of the Fargo North High School football team received a surprise visit from three Minnesota Vikings players as part of an award for the school’s work on concussion awareness.

Representatives from high school football programs in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota were invited by the Vikings and Sanford Health earlier this year to fill out surveys on concussions and prevention technology.

Fargo North won the grand prize that included appearances at Tuesday’s practice by Vikings Chad Greenway, E.J. Henderson and Everson Griffen.

The other semifinalists were Brandon Valley High School of Brandon, South Dakota; Crookston High School of Crookston, Minnesota; Davies High School of Fargo; Luverne High School of Luverne, Minnesota; Northwestern High School of Mellette, South Dakota; and Vermillion High School of Vermillion, South Dakota.
