In addition, on Oct. 1, inmate Latanda Ellington died at the facility near Ocala. And 20-year-old Yalex Tirado died Thursday at Lancaster Correctional Institution in Trenton.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating Tierney’s death. Spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger says the agency is also working closely with the Department of Corrections in the reviewing Taylor’s death. She offered no further details.

The Department of Corrections says the medical examiner will determine the causes of death.
