PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A judge has ruled that two men should stand trial in the death of a 3-year-old Philadelphia girl who was sitting on a front porch getting her hair braided when she was hit by a stray bullet.

Authorities say 22-year-old Brandon Ruffin opened fire on a man from a rival street crew, wounding him and two bystanders and killing Tynirah Borum.

Police allege the second defendant, Douglas Woods, drove Ruffin to the neighborhood on the handlebars of his bicycle. He’s charged as an accomplice.

A preliminary hearing for Ruffin and Woods was held Wednesday. Both defendants were held for trial on murder charges.
