UNION, N.J. (AP) - President Barack Obama has canceled his planned trip to New Jersey for a fundraising event, but House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi will still be in the state.

The White House announced Wednesday that the president’s trip to New Jersey and Connecticut would be postponed so he can meet with his cabinet to discuss the country’s response to the growing Ebola crisis. He was scheduled to attend a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee event in Union with Senator Cory Booker.

Pelosi is set to attend a fundraiser for Congressional candidate Donald Norcross in Haddonfield on Wednesday afternoon. An invitation to the Tavistock Country Club event says tickets are $1,000 each.

A DCSS official said the Union event will continue as planned without the president.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid also headlined a Norcross event.
