SACHEM, N.Y. (AP) - Leaked instructions for a scavenger hunt involving local students are causing a stir in Long Island’s Sachem school district.

The list appeared Monday on the Sachem Patch website.

It listed such things as speeding at 100 mph for 10 points and defecating on someone’s doorstep for 50 points.

Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1nlG9dw ) says Twitter users identifying themselves as Sachem East students and alumni said the scavenger hunt for Sachem East seniors happened Sunday night. The tweets said the list was leaked to Patch by an unidentified parent.

School officials said the event wasn’t a school activity. It talked to students Tuesday about showing responsible behavior at all times.

Police Monday received reports of a stolen mailbox and cemetery vandalism. The list published by Patch included “steal a mailbox” and “dance on grave.”
