RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A man accused of taking a 2-year-old boy hostage and holding law officers at bay in Rapid City in July faces new charges after a weekend vehicle crash.

Thirty-two-year-old Raymond Cuny, of Box Elder, is charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license after allegedly crashing a sport utility vehicle into two parked city vehicles on Sunday. Damage was estimated at $40,000.

Cuny posted bond Monday and was released. A working telephone number for him could not immediately be found.

Cuny faces kidnapping and burglary charges in the alleged July incident that followed a foiled burglary attempt. No one was hurt.
