UNITY, N.H. (AP) - A team from the New England Association of Schools and College is planning a visit to the new Unity Elementary School to evaluate it and decide if it should be recommended for accreditation.

Such a visit follows the building of a new school in the region. The school opened Sept. 8 after many delays. An official grand opening is scheduled on Oct. 22.

The association visit is scheduled from Oct. 26 through Oct. 29 and will look at the school’s curriculum, teaching and learning standards, resources, and other criteria.

The Eagle Times reports (https://bit.ly/1w8d2fd) Principal Chip Baldwin says getting the accreditation would be “a long process coming to a happy conclusion.”
