WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - Vermont veterans are being invited to an open house at the state’s Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction.

The Thursday open house will be held in the research building at the medical center.

People who served in the Armed Forces and received an honorable discharge may qualify for health care benefits from the VA.

At the open house, VA staff will be available to answer questions and help veterans complete their VA health care application.

Veterans interested in applying for VA health care should bring a copy of their discharge paperwork, a photo ID and financial information from the previous calendar year.
