SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Court papers say a Vermont woman accused of embezzlement for the second time in four years is expected to plead guilty.

The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/1vuJw4z) federal court records say 41-year-old Billie Laflam Preston has agreed to admit she stole more than $84,000 from Endyne Inc., an environmental testing lab where she worked as a bookkeeper. She was there from November 2011 to April 30.

Preston, of South Burlington, is expected to enter the guilty plea on Oct. 20.

Court records show that Preston pleaded guilty in May 2010 to embezzling from University Wholesalers in Colchester. She was given a deferred sentence under a plea agreement with the possibility that her embezzlement conviction would be removed from her criminal record if she stayed out of trouble for five years.
