HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Republican U.S. House candidate Ryan Zinke will announce a plan to increase public access and hunting opportunities on public lands and improve overall federal land management.

Zinke says he’ll announce his Forest Management and Public Access Plan Wednesday morning in Billings.

Zinke’s opponent John Lewis unveiled his sportsmen and public lands plan earlier this month.

On Tuesday Lewis invited Montanans to join his sportsmen and women advisory council. The group is made up of Montana men and women who want to improve access to public lands, strengthen hunting and fishing opportunities in the state and uphold the Second Amendment.
