TYLERTOWN, Miss. (AP) - Four candidates will be on the ballot for the Nov. 4 special election of superintendent of the Walthall County schools.

A runoff, if necessary, will be Nov. 25.

The Enterprise-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1sffgqF ) the winner will complete the current term which ends January 2016.

Zachary Rushing is interim superintendent. He replaced Danny McCallum, who retired last year due to health concerns. He served as superintendent in the 1970s and 80s.

Others on the ballot are Wade Carney, Jerry L. Molaison and Cynthia Magee.

Magee was principal of Tylertown High School before she retired. She ran for unsuccessfully for superintendent in 2011.

Carney is the director of the Career and Technology Center for the school district.

Molaison is gifted education coordinator for the South Pike School District.
