YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Yuma say they are trying to identify a woman whose body has been pulled out of the Colorado River.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a deceased person in the river about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

With the assistance of U.S. Border Patrol agents, the body was recovered.

The victim’s identity or how long she has been deceased are currently unknown.

Sheriff’s officials say the woman was wearing blue jeans and an orange tank top.

An autopsy has been scheduled for later this week.
