ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The state Department of Environmental Conservation is accepting comments on proposed changes to fishing regulations.

The agency modifies the regulations about every two years after assessing the status of fish populations and getting feedback from anglers. The full text of the proposed regulations is posted on DEC’s website (https://on.ny.gov/1veRT2G ).

Among the proposed changes are establishing year-round trout seasons in certain waters, revisions of baitfish rules, streamlining of rules for ice-fishing devices, and clarification of some rules regarding types of lures.

Comments will be accepted until Dec. 1.
