PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - A husband-and-wife duo charged with robbing The First bank in Ocean Springs last year have each been sentenced to serve nine years in prison.

On Tuesday, Jackson County Circuit Judge Dale Harkey sentenced 39-year-old Donald Landrum, and his wife, 34-year-old Heather Landrum, to a total of 15 years in prison each, with nine years to serve and eight years under post-release supervision.

Prosecutors say the two robbed The First Bank on Sept. 6, 2013. Heather Landrum went inside the bank and handed the teller a note, demanding cash, and her husband waited in a getaway car. They were not armed.

Harkey ordered the two to be placed in a therapeutic drug treatment program while in prison.
