PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (AP) - Former state Sen. Joe H. Mulholland of Philadelphia has died from complications of cancer. He was 80.

Officials with McClain-Hays Funeral Home say Mulholland died Tuesday in a hospital in Meridian.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday at Mars Hill Cemetery in Neshoba County.

Mulholland served in the Senate from 1964-68 and 1976-84. He served one term as chairman of the public property committee.

A Neshoba County native, Mulholland was an attorney and a cattleman.

Survivors include a niece and a nephew.
