The Daily Sentinel reports (https://goo.gl/3CKBCZ ) Gage Wright resigned Wednesday, nearly two weeks after he was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and official misconduct.

The 37-year-old is accused of spray-painting profanity on the home of the woman and her current husband and slashing the tires on a pickup. He’s also accused of using his job to get personal information about the woman from a law-enforcement database.

Wright, who has not entered a plea, had been placed on administrative leave without pay. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 18.
