DENVER (AP) - A man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for his role in the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy in Denver.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1rCOqVB ) 21-year-old Marquise Lewis entered his plea Thursday for the Aug. 30, 2013, death of Reysean Abram, who had just left a party where there had been a fight and was a block away when he was shot in the Montbello neighborhood. Lewis is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 5.

Prosecutors say he gave co-defendant Lonnie White an assault rifle and told him to shoot from the window of a moving car. White, who was 17 years old at the time of the shooting, was charged as an adult and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

He was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related.
