ALLEGAN, Mich. (AP) - A man has been charged with causing the death of a western Michigan motorcyclist who was struck and killed on an Allegan County roadway.

Nicholas Prus was arraigned Wednesday on one count of operating while intoxicated causing death.

Authorities say the 33-year-old Prus’ minivan crashed into Allen Wright’s Harley-Davidson on Sept. 21 in Leighton Township. They say Prus stopped after the wreck to give CPR to Wright.

Wright died at the scene.

A message seeking comment was left Thursday with Prus’ lawyer.

A probable-cause hearing is scheduled for Nov. 6 in Allegan District Court.
