YULEE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a chance encounter at a northeast Florida Walmart led to a man killing a former boss and then himself.

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office reports that 59-year-old Allen James Fourtunia had apparently blamed his supervisors for losing his job at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base in 2005. When Fourtunia spotted one of those supervisors - 53-year-old Steven Swan - outside the Yulee Walmart Tuesday, deputies say Fourtunia ran the other man over with his car and then got out and beat him. Swan later died at a Jacksonville hospital.

Officials say Fourtunia drove off, but witnesses followed him to his home nearby. The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/46Vkow ) reports that deputies responded to the home, followed by the Jacksonville SWAT team. When SWAT officers finally entered the home, they found Fourtunia dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
