ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Two New Mexico women are facing charges after authorities say they tried to smuggle drugs into an Albuquerque jail by using a bag of M&Ms.;

Authorities say Brittany Espinosa and Krystal Johnson were arrested Friday after a corrections officer saw them place a candy wrapper behind an ATM machine in the lobby of the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Authorities say inside the M&Ms; bag was heroin, suboxone, marijuana and tobacco.

Both women were arrested on bringing contraband into a jail charges and held on $2,500 cash or surety bond.

It was not known if they had attorneys.
