CROWLEY, La. (AP) - Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division agents have arrested a Rayne man for alleged fraudulent shrimp sales.

The Advertiser reports (https://bit.ly/101yirs ) agents arrested 37-year-old Shannon J. Roche on four counts of theft by fraudulent shrimp sales and for failing to maintain records in Acadia and Jefferson Davis parishes.

Agents received complaints from three victims in Jefferson Davis Parish and one victim in Acadia Parish. Agents say Roche sold shrimp to these consumers who did not receive the correct amount of shrimp.

Roche was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on Monday.

It was unclear whether Roche has an attorney.
