COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A man involved in a crash that killed a motorcyclist in downtown Colorado Springs has been charged with careless driving resulting in death.

The Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1sy5HD9 ) 42-year-old Steven Hinman, of Calhan, also was ticketed for making an improper left turn and driving without a valid license and insurance after the Monday night crash that killed 27-year-old Dustin Downs, of Colorado Springs.

Investigators say Hinman turned in front of Downs, who later died of his injuries.
