CLINTON, Miss. (AP) - A 62-year-old Clinton man is dead and three people, including his stepdaughter, have been charged with capital murder in his death.

Officials say Bruce Moss was found dead in his yard Wednesday from what appeared to be shotgun wounds.

The Clarion-Ledger reports (https://on.thec-l.com/1wP6EHV ) Moss’ stepdaughter, 30-year-old Angela Watson, her boyfriend, 18-year-old Frank Buckley, and their friend, 30-year-old George Carroll, were all arrested at their home in Rankin County Wednesday night.

Detectives believe the three went to Moss’ house in order to burglarize it. When Moss confronted them inside the home and chased them, one of the suspects shot him as he came out of the house.

The three suspects were arrested early Thursday morning, and have been booked into the Clinton jail.

It was unclear whether the suspects have attorneys.
