FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The sports director of a Fargo television station has been charged with felony aggravated assault.

Jim Nelson is accused of punching and breaking the nose of a man at a party in August. He had earlier pleaded guilty to obstructing Fargo police who came to investigate the incident.

KGFO radio reports (https://bit.ly/104xwtH) that officers found the injured man in a parking lot outside an apartment building where the party was held.

KVRR-TV Fox news director Lezlie Johnson says the station is aware of the allegations but had no further comment.

Court documents do not list an attorney for Nelson.
