FLINT, Mich. (AP) - A Michigan utility is reminding people to ask for a company-issued photo ID from workers after logos were stolen off a vehicle in Flint.

The Flint Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1odRxsu ) a Consumers Energy worker told police she was on the job Monday when she returned to her vehicle to find that someone had stolen magnetic logos from the sides of her truck.

Consumers Energy spokesman Dan Bishop says that anytime a person is approached by someone claiming to be an employee they should ask to see that person’s company identification. Consumers Energy is a unit of Jackson-based CMS Energy Corp.

Meanwhile, Bishop asks people to call local law enforcement and the utility if they suspect that someone is using the company’ logos illegally on a vehicle.
