UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A 20-year-old Pennsylvania man is jailed on charges he kicked a small dog that barked at him, then beat up the dog’s owner while the animal was out for a walk.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Tredale Hall, of Uniontown, who remained jailed Friday on charges including aggravated assault and cruelty to animals.

Fifty-two-year-old Fred Hardin says he was walking his dog, Crosby, about 11 a.m. Monday when Hall got mad when the dog barked at him. After threatening to kick the animal, Hardin says Hall did kick Crosby in the head - and then attacked Hardin from behind when the man dropped the leash to defend himself and his animal.

Hall remained in the Fayette County Prison on Friday, unable to post $25,000 bond.
