CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The newest member of the Kanawha County Family Court is scheduled to be sworn in.

R. Joseph Zak was appointed Sept. 12 to succeed Judge Mike Kelly on the 11th Family Court Circuit. The 68-year-old jurist will be sworn in Friday afternoon in Charleston.

Zak is a Charleston attorney and a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law. He was appointed to the bench by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin.
