BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Thousands of North Dakotans have already voted ahead of the Nov. 4 election.

Secretary of State Al Jaeger says North Dakota’s county auditors have mailed out nearly 54,000 applications for absentee ballots, and more than 18,000 people have returned them.

Jaeger says just before noon Friday, 18,399 North Dakotans had marked their ballots for the November election.
