LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - A 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker has verbally committed to Wyoming.

Jaylon Watson made his decision official on Wednesday night. He attends Broken Bow High School in Oklahoma where he plays running back and defensive end.

One national rating agency has him ranked with two stars.

Watson also had scholarship offers from Army and Ohio. But he says the Cowboys coaching staff separated Wyoming from its competitors.

The Cowboys have a need for linebackers because all three of their starters this season are seniors.
