ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Shysheisnot won the $58,000 feature by 1 1/4 lengths Friday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by apprentice Drayden Van Dyke, Shysheisnot ran a mile on the turf in 1:35.39 and paid $6.40, $4.40 and $3 at 2-1 odds in the field of eight fillies bred or sired in California.

Kana Flavor returned $18.40 and $9.60 at 18-1 odds, while Market Quote was another head back in third and paid $3 to show.

Shysheisnot had been idle since finishing second at Del Mar on Aug. 20.

“She was pulling on me pretty good the whole way,” Van Dyke said. “She kicked off at about the half-mile pole. I put her in between horses on the far turn and a little spot opened up on the outside so we took advantage.”

The victory, worth $34,800, increased Shysheisnot’s career earnings to $116,920, with two wins in six starts.
