KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - A teenager has been found guilty of murder in the fatal shooting of a Kalamazoo middle-schooler.

Sixteen-year-old Victor Garay was convicted Friday on all four counts against him: first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and a pair of firearms charges.

Authorities say Garay killed 13-year-old Michael Day with a shotgun in May. They say shots were fired following arguments and fights between rival neighborhood gangs.

The Kalamazoo Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1vGrNqU ) co-defendant Octavius Snell was acquitted Friday of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. But the 24-year-old was convicted on a pair of firearms charges.
